Jason Brownell ’91 recently founded HeroHomes, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to providing deserving veterans the pride of home ownership. (HeroHomesLoudoun.org) The flagship project in the beautiful town of Purcellville, Virginia located in the heart of Loudoun Valley, represents the first step in our mission to make Loudoun County the showcase area for homes dedicated to wounded veterans. “In 2015 Jason, was asked to manage a building project in Lovettsville, VA, for wounded veteran named Tony Porta” said Aimee McGranahan, leadership chair at HeroHomes. Now part of our leadership team, Tony is a medically retired Marine corporal who sustained injuries from an IED explosion while serving in Iraq.
